Emma Chatzispyridou
I am the Executive Headteacher across ALP Schools in Kent and South East, providing strategic leadership for Pierview Academy in Gravesend, ALP Sittingbourne, and Parkview Academy in Welling.
As a champion of relational approaches in specialist education, I believe that strong, trusting relationships are the foundation for all meaningful learning. I am deeply committed to high aspirations for every child—regardless of their background or socio-economic status—ensuring pupils are provided with rich opportunities to expand their cultural capital alongside their academic skills.
I bring over 14 years of experience within ALP Schools, having joined in 2012 as a Teaching Assistant before progressing through roles including Teacher, SENDCo, Headteacher, and Head of Schools. Complementing my hands-on expertise, I hold a PhD in Developmental Psychology from UCL’s Institute of Education (focusing on attention and reading acquisition), an MSc in Psychology, an MA in Education (Equality and Diversity), QTS, NPQH, and NPQEL.
Across all three schools, I work alongside local leadership teams to foster nurturing, aspirational environments where young people build the confidence, independence, and knowledge they need to excel.
