Following our most recent Ofsted inspection in September 2023, within which we achieved GOOD across the board and OUTSTANDING in Personal Development. ALP Schools Group celebrated the incredible milestone of achieving a GOOD Ofsted rating in each of their five schools.
Here at ALP Sittingbourne we began the day by heading off on a walk to our local bowling alley at The Light Sittingbourne where students and staff played alongside one another to show off their skills and expertise. Alex was the strongest contender on the staff team, whilst Tom smashed the student record with an impressive number of strikes!
Following this we returned to school to hear from our Managing Director, David Cowell, who introduced an entertaining video assembly which demonstrated the progress over time of ALP Schools from across the very beginnings of Pierview through to the most recent addition – our very own school ALP Sittingbourne!
As part of the celebration we were treated to a delicious lunch as a school community, topped off with our bespoke cupcakes!
The afternoon was filled with even more fun including arts and crafts activities and an incredible gaming bus, supplied by Games on Wheels, which parked up in our car park and provided our students with a multi sensory experience with lots of healthy competition and opportunities for socialising across the year groups.
The following day we involved parents and carers in the celebrations with our students’ very own talent show. The afternoon saw students showcasing their gymnastics, football, swimming and dancing skills as well as some scientific demonstrations from our very own Amazingly Ludicrous Practicals team.
We are so proud of how far we have come as a school in the last year and we want to extend our congratulations to our ALP family: Pierview (Gravesend), Parkview (Welling) Leicester and Nuneaton, we are privileged to be a part of such a successful team.
