Thorpe Park trip 2023
ALP Sittingbourne’s end of term trip for KS4. The thrill seeking team had too much fun to take that many photos, but we heard they had the best day. Well deserved summer treat for our hard workers.
RHS School Gardening Award
ALP Sittingbourne have now achieved their Level Three RHS School Gardening Award. The Adventurers took to Dobbies to spend their reward of £ 100!
The Reading Doctor
Our wonderful Reading Doctor, Cath, and ALP Sittingbourne’s learners have been working hard together to develop reading confidence and phonics knowledge. The learners are smashing their reading goals and levels. Impressive work, everyone, well done!
Big Butterfly Release
ALP Sittingbourne’s Great Big Butterfly Release. The Adventurers have been learning about life cycles. They nurtured some tiny caterpillars and watched them transform into butterflies. This week, they released the butterflies into the wild.
Japanese Morning
ALP Sittingbourne were visited by the amazing Rei, from Pierview. Rei led an immersive Japanese morning teaching us about Japanese geography, music, money and even got us writing and cooking! Thank you Rei for sharing your knowledge.
Berry Picking
ALP Sittingbourne’s learners visited a local farm shop to pick strawberries. After sampling a few in the field, they took home their full punnets and made delicious smoothies.
Healthy Eating week
Fresh raspberries and homegrown mint used in today’s sweet treat! Why not follow the recipe yourself and make your own? Well done to the KS3/4 learners for their incredible baking. #ALPSchools

World Ocean Day
Author, Nicholas Sayer Naditouk , came to visit ALP Sittingbourne to read his new book and share some insight into the plastic pollution affecting our oceans. For the official Ocean Day, ALPSittingbourne took to Minster Leas to clean up the beach. We collected 6 bags of rubbish and disposed of it accordingly. Well done everyone!
